Plain-English summary: Westmora is a review site, not a game host or gambling operator. We do not ask for payment details, run user accounts, sell personal data or use advertising trackers. Saved games and consent choices stay in your browser unless you clear them.
1. Who controls your data
The data controller for westmora.com is the Westmora editorial team (“Westmora”, “we”, “us”), an independent online game-review project focused on users in Italy. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@westmora.com.
This policy applies only to westmora.com. When you select “Visit official game”, you leave Westmora. The game operator becomes responsible for data collected on its website and its own privacy notice applies.
2. Information we collect
Information stored on your device
The current site uses browser local storage to remember games you save and your cookie/analytics preference. That information is not automatically transmitted to Westmora by this static build.
Technical request data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process IP address, request date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and device information, response status and security events when serving pages. Server logs are used to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose faults.
Messages you send
If you email us, we receive the address you use, your message, any attachments and the correspondence needed to respond. Please do not send payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal data.
Information we do not request
Westmora has no player accounts and does not collect game credentials, precise location, payment card details, betting history, cash balances or withdrawal information.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Processing | Purpose | GDPR basis |
|---|---|---|
| Essential local storage | Remember saved games and your privacy preference. | Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interests in providing requested site functions. |
| Hosting and security logs | Deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate incidents and keep the service reliable. | Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interests in security and service operation. |
| Email correspondence | Answer questions, feedback, complaints or rights requests. | Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interests; Art. 6(1)(c) where a legal response is required. |
| Optional analytics, if introduced and enabled | Understand aggregate usage and improve the catalog. Optional tools remain off before consent. | Art. 6(1)(a), consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. |
Providing technical request data is necessary to receive the website. Email information is voluntary, although we may not be able to answer without a return address.
5. How long information is kept
- Saved games: remain in your browser until you remove them, clear site storage or reset the browser.
- Consent choice: remains in your browser until changed or cleared. We recommend renewing consent no later than six months after collection if optional tracking is enabled.
- Security logs: normally up to 90 days, and longer only when needed to investigate abuse, enforce rights or meet legal duties.
- General correspondence: up to 24 months after the conversation closes; legal complaints and rights-request records may be retained for up to five years where necessary to demonstrate compliance.
We may retain information longer when law requires it or a legal claim reasonably requires preservation, then delete or anonymise it.
6. Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You also have rights concerning solely automated decisions, although Westmora does not use such decisions.
Send a request to privacy@westmora.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and normally respond within one month. You may also complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or your local EEA data protection authority.
For general guidance, see the European Commission’s overview of GDPR principles and individual rights.
7. Security and data minimisation
We limit collection, use HTTPS in production, restrict administrative access, maintain software and backups, and select service providers with appropriate safeguards. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection. If a breach creates a risk to individuals, we will follow applicable notification duties.
Westmora does not use fingerprinting, cross-site behavioural advertising or special-category profiling.
8. Children
Westmora is a general-audience review site and is not designed to collect personal data from children. We do not knowingly maintain user accounts or profiles for minors. Parents and guardians should review the age guidance and data practices of each external game before allowing a child to leave Westmora.
If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact privacy@westmora.com so we can assess and delete it where appropriate.
9. Updates and contact
We may update this notice when our service, suppliers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site and the date at the top will be revised. Earlier versions may be requested by email.
